Shift:
First Shift (United States of America)Director Safety
At Nebraska Medicine, safety isn't a priority--it's our promise. We are seeking a compassionate, systems-minded leader to serve as our next Director of Safety, someone who believes that zero harm is not aspirational, but achievable. This role is for a leader who looks to understand system drivers of harm, applies high-reliability principles, and partners across disciplines to create lasting change. Success in this role depends on strong relationships and influence, fostering trust with physicians, operational leaders, and frontline teams while strengthening a culture where every voice matters and speaking up for safety is expected. You will translate data into meaningful action, promote learning rather than blame, and help embed safety as a shared responsibility across the enterprise. If you are driven by purpose, grounded in data, and motivated to make a system-level impact on patient and colleague safety, this is an opportunity to truly make a difference.
